dead week

My friend group had our first meeting about "dead week" tonight. It's only a few months away. Same with graduation, same with real world. Buuuuut back to dead week. It's called dead week because it takes place the week after finals end and everyone goes home for the summer. Campus is dead. Graduation is the end of that week so seniors will go to the beach to celebrate their last hoorahs with friends before we all come back for the ceremony. My group is pretty much the same group of friends I had when I was a freshman. It's pretty cool. It might be because I go to such a small school but I think it's also because everyone is pretty cool. I'm gonna see how many more times I can describe something in this post as pretty cool. A pretty cool count would be pretty cool (3 not including the title of the count).

We decided to get a hotel room on the beach instead of a house somewhere. It has a lazy river, which I am very stoked about but I might have to sleep in a cabinet somewhere. I really don't care where we end up or where I end up sleeping as long as I get to lay on a beach somewhere. That sounds pretty apathetic (did you think I was going to say cool??) but it's the truth. After a disappointingly cold trip to Charleston I'm ready to give South Carolina a second chance for warmth.

I'm going to have to start saving to pay for the trip. I'm not too worried about it because I have a job that will cover it but I'm just worried about paying for the rest of my english books. I think we have a million more and I don't really want to ask my parents for money. As one of my roommates put it tonight, life is tough. People are jerks, March's temperatures can get into the 30s, and I still have to buy a few more books for my english class. Life is hella tough.

Sorry for that ending, it wasn't pretty cool (4...I guess).

Until tomorrow,

Caroline
