Things I Have a Problem With #1

I've been really bad about keeping up with my Tuesday makeup posts here on TLS so we're starting it back up...TONIGHT. I thought I would start a new series called "Things That I Have a Problem With." This series will be what the titles says it will be about. I thought to kick it off I would share the top 5-10 things I have a problem with in the beauty world. These things will range from makeup products to haircare to the way people do things to their hair and face and skin and whatever is involved. Are you excited? So many things are popping into my head!! I don't mean to single any people out with these things so if something applies to you just remember I am one walking faux pas. I hope that made you feel better. This is going to be a pretty negative post, I apologize. Especially after last post.

Here. We. Go!

1. I have a problem with people who can wear black liquid liner everyday and not look like they're trying too hard. UGH these people bug me so much because I would definitely look like I was trying too hard. I also have a problem with people who can apply black liquid liner really well. I have a problem with it because I am the worst at it. I have a plaque to prove it. One day I'll share it. Black liquid liner is a thing of beauty and when applied well it is even more beauteous. When I grow up I want to be good at applying eyeliner. This is a nice segue into the next thing.

2. I have a HUGE problem with "tight lining." How the hell does someone tight line and not tear up terribly and not feel pain??? I tried it a few times. I think I saw ARose186 tight line with a kohl liner and I was like "dang, that looks so easy!" I tried it...NOT EASY. Also, it just hurts so bad! If you can do this, kudos. You might be a magician or a witch or someone who knows sorcery. By the sound of these two problems I have, I think it's clear I just have an eyeliner problem.

3. I have a problem with most people's eyebrows. Ok, here comes snobby Caroline. I don't know how people can live their lives with really thin eyebrows, really sparse eyebrows, or really short eyebrows. I used to have a problem with my eyebrows. Actually, now that I think of it lots of people have had problems with my eyebrows. I've had people tell me they're too dark and once my older sister told me I had Sandy Cohen eyebrows. Or maybe she said I had caterpillar eyebrows. Really though, what's the difference? I guess unless you're Lily Collins or Cara Delevinge then the world will have problems with your eyebrows.

4. I have a problem with nude lipstick. I think nude lipstick is the biggest waste of a makeup product. When I say nude I mean lipsticks that almost look like concealers. EW. I can dig "my lips but better" colors but no one should ever wear nude lipstick. Maybelline recently released a line of nude lipsticks and I was very upset. But after looking at some of the colors I wasn't that upset. There were only a few that would make you look like a dead corpse with them on.

5. I have a problem with French manicures. Just everything about French manicures irks me. Their name, the white tip (it irks me even more when it's a color), how people get them shaped like a square. I shiver thinking about those square nails. Spooky stuff. I hate that people go get French manicures and then add on other designs like palm trees or hibiscus flowers. Why should anything that reminds anyone of Hawaii be combined with something that's french?? I'm going to look up why they're called French now. Ok, so apparently these French manicures were popular in Paris in the 1920s and 30s. Eh, I still don't like them very much.

Those are the 5 things I have problems with right now in the beauty world. If this is offensive to anyone just remember, we are all entitled to our opinions. If you like any of these, good for you!

My throat kind of hurts now.

Until tomorrow,

Caroline
